Band Blog 5: The Ross Irwin Soul Special

This next band I've seen a few times but was fortunate enough to catch over the weekend when I was in Melbourne. The Ross Irwin Soul Special, led by (shock horror) mr Ross Irwin who also happens to play with The Cat Empire and The Bamboos.

They play rock/soul originals with a 10 piece band (yikes!) and play some old school unknown soul covers too. Who can go wrong with a song stating 'I've always had a thing for Lois Lane'.

They play regularly around Melbourne, but sadly not anywhere else and you can usually find them at the night cat during Cat Empire off season!
